디자인스튜디오42 수업에서는 식문화영역에서 우리가 무비판적으로 받아들여온 친환경이슈를 다룬다. 그동안 우리는 환경관련 정보와 친환경에 대한 속설을 의심없이 받아들이고 디자인의 기준으로 삼아왔다. 연구원들은 이러한 태도에 문제점을 제기하며 탐사적 리서치를 통해 진짜 진실에 최대한 접근하고 이를 바탕으로 디자인솔루션을 제안한다.

Design Studio 42 deals with eco-friendly issues that we have accepted uncritically in the food culture field. Until now, we have accepted without doubt the environmental news and myths and have used them as the standard for design. Researchers raise problems with this attitude and approach the real fact through investigative research and propose design solutions based on this.
